Thursday Thoughts

I have a lot on my plate all of a sudden with school. There was a group project that was due today, some catching up to do with my online class, way too many pieces to throw on the wheel for ceramics (including some dreaded plates and pitchers), and now I have to put together a presentation as a requirement for my art degree. I have a month to get it done, but it requires a lot of thinking of where I am now and where I want to go in the future. This is all good though and to be honest, I have been thinking about this more and more without this. The intimidating thing about it will be speaking in front of the entire faculty of the art department for 20 minutes. All about myself and my work too. I know I ramble on here, but in person, I live up to the Midwestern stereotype of personal modesty. I will get through it though and breaking out of my comfort zone has always proven to have good results.

I mentioned awhile ago that an old classmate approached me about knitting some things for her. She is due to have her 5th child any day now and also has a new photography business so some props were requested. She wants three hats and two pods. Now before this, I had no idea what these pods were, so for those who also don't know, here's a photo of one.

I've been working on a pod since yesterday and am halfway done. The goal is to have all of the pieces done by the time she gives birth, or my personal goal, have them done by next week. I plan on carrying my needles with me everywhere just in case I have time to work a bit.
