I have to make this short and sweet today as I have to zip off to work shortly. Some days I really don't like working five days a week, but I have bills to pay and I do like what I do.
It's Friday so that means sharing my free motion quilting practice! Cindy is awesome for hosting this every week. This week we are sharing our take on Slate Tiles. I also tried The Wave again and did a sample of basic stippling. I have never done it before and intend to use that type of quilting on my Halloween table runner.
For a first try, not so bad, if I may say so.
So much better this time!
Ugh, some curves are too pointy and I did cross over in spots. I think it may be easier on a larger piece though. That may be a lie I can tell myself, right?
My only issue with the back came up when my bobbin ran out. Lesson learned: always have a full bobbin.
I also finished the first baby pod. Here, it is modeled by my assistant since I don't have any babies around here. One down, four more pieces to go!
Have a great weekend, everyone! I am going to fit in some sewing time, as well as catch up on blog reading and emails. Until next time!

Hahahaaa sorry I love your assistant! Great job with the FMQ. Isn't the progress amazing? I need to practice waves again to see how that goes now too...
Great job with the tiles! OMG, I just LOVE your pod and pod buddy!
lol love the assistant!
Great FMQing! Stippling gets a little easier with practice (sometimes anyway! :))
So do you put a baby in the baby pod? Silly question I know but I've never seen one before - its gorgeous! Great idea with the fmq - I agree the tiles look fab
Tiles are great but am also admiring your bundle of joy in the pod.
I thought you got peas in a pod? Not horses and babies! Looks snuggly though and great work on the FMQ - coming along nicely!
Love your pod buddy!
doing well there, stippling looks as if it works too.
That baby pod is gorgeous and love that green yarn. Well done on the FMQ, I don`t know if I dare try the wave again!
good job on the tiles - you kept your rows straight - unlike me ;)
The waves are just killing me too! Argh. I get a little better each time, but its just not quickly rewarding me. Yours look great, though. Def improvement from last trial. Your tiles are just lovely! Stippling still eludes me - yours looks like a great start. Keep practicing :)
