Snail Sketch

I really am enjoying sketching with watercolors. Less messy than charcoal, which is another preference. I also tested out the wax resist sticks I had picked up. The difference is subtle, but I could definately tell they were working as I was applying the color to the sky. However, I think the final outcome could have been achieved through dabbing away of the color with a towel.

Snail Watercolor Sketch

This little guy has been floating around in my head for some time and I thought I would finally let him live on paper. I love snails and especially their shells. I have intentions on using snails more in my work and need to flesh these ideas out a little bit.

I will be back either tomorrow or the next day with some thoughts on my creative work and where it's leading me right now. What can I say, I have more time to think (thanks to being in the car a lot) than I do to actually do much of anything outside of school assignments. But, I will cover this more next time.

I hope your Wednesday is finding you well!
