Quick Friday Finish & Happy Mail Day

First of all, I'm linking up to Crazy Mom Quilts for Finish It Up Friday. I realize I forgot to edit my post I linked last week, so sorry Amanda Jean!

Little Red Dumpling

My finish this week? Oh, you would think it would be something on my WIP list, but it isn't. Well, it sort of is. In order to kill two birds, I am going to sew up some different pouches for myself this weekend. This will fulfill a few needs I have right now and also give me prototypes to get feedback on from my partner in the Mouthy Stitches Swap. So, today I put together a dumpling (pattern from Keyka Lou).

Little Red Dumpling

I made the larger size and used some of my Red Riding Hood stash. Inside is lined with a deep red print.

Little Red Dumpling

I'm glad I made this one though I won't make any more of them for myself. I just don't love it even though I used a fabric I love. Know what I mean? However, if my partner likes this style, I would sew one up for her.

My mailman and UPS guy brought some lovelies to me today.

More Patterns

More sewing patterns, this time from Megan Nielsen. She started making maternity patterns and has now branched out to non-maternity clothing patterns. If you like the dress pattern, she is talking about hosting a sew-a-long for it in March.

More Solids

My other package contains more solids. I now have the fabrics I need for the February Color Challenge, so I can get started on that next week. Still deciding on my design though.

That's all I have for today. I am going to spend some time after work this evening catching up on your blog posts and emails. See you tomorrow with my weekly studio update!

The red zip looks great with the Red Riding Hood fabric. I love receiving sewing related items in the mail...

I made several of the dumplings for gifts this winter great pattern. I actually made it even larger than the pattern, bless copiers. It was even easier to sew when it got larger.

Love your fabric choice. Looks great.
