Yesterday I signed the papers to accept my promotion at work. Who knew that leaving school would open this door? I will be losing some free time but will adjust once everything is settled. The trade off is an increased income to help Chad and I make our dreams a reality.
I hope you bear with me a little while as I find the right balance here. I decided to set small goals each week on what I want to accomplish. It can be finishing an item or just working on it. One goal this week is to get some blocks finished for my Drunkard's Path quilt.
I do start my new position and schedule today and have to be off to work shortly. I'm linking up at Freshly Pieced and will be working on checking in on your progress as well.
Finished:
Piper's Journey Shawl - more details here.
Progress Made:
Drunkard's Path Quilt - trimmed pieces are slowly becoming blocks. I decided to get them this far because I did feel like turning on my iron the day I worked on them. Anyone else do that?
Camp Loopy Project 2 - I nearing the finish line and would love to have this come of the needles by the end of the weekend.

Congratulations on a promotion! Some of the most interesting paths in life are not direct and certainly not always what was planned. Enjoy the journey...and keep on stitching when you can.
Good luck Katie! You are still an artist no matter what comes your way...
Katie, you've got some really fun colors going on your drunkard's path!
Congratulations on your promotion! That shawl is so beautiful (I like the edge a lot) and I really love the colors on the Camp Loopy project! The drunkard path blocks look really fun, love that purple background! Thanks for linking up to WIP Wednesday!
