Mini X's

Ever since Debbie posted her Mini X quilt at A Quilter's Table I have been wanting me make one myself. Luckily, she posted a tutorial for it and it is charm friendly! A win-win in my book as I'm trying to use up the charm packs in my stash. I even was able to use only my stash for this project.

Mini X's

Detail of Mini X's

Debbie's instruction were really easy to follow and this could be done in a few hours. I got distracted doing other things in between steps, so I finished the binding this morning. I went back and forth between machine and hand stitching it but I wanted to share it today and also give machine binding another go. I'm not sure I would ever use it on a larger project, but for smaller projects, it makes quick work of them.

If you make one of these beauties yourself, feel free to share in her Flickr group as well!

Backing

I have pieces cut for another mini quilt that I'm hoping to get working on tomorrow. I think I am getting addicted to these because they are a great way to practice techiniques and a quick finish!

Thank you, Debbie, for sharing this tutorial!

How cute! What a great way to use a charm pack. I love making minis for the same reason....they are quick and a fun way to try a new technique.

Thanks for linking up to finish it up Friday!
