We all know Amy hosts the Blogger's Quilt Festival twice a year on her blog Amy's Creative Side, but do you know she also hosts a challenge once a month? That challenge is the One Thing, One Week Challenge. I have participated before (and failed my goal for the week) but this time I am determined.
My goal for the week is to trim every one of my blocks for my Drunkard's Path quilt. I'm sick of being stalled on this project and would love to have this fall themed quilt done for fall. Of this year.
Why don't you join me? All you have to do is post in the comments on her blog what you goal is and then link of next Monday with your success. There is a small prize up for grabs too, but really, the prize is getting your goal completed.

One Thing, One Week Challenge and a Painting
I know I shared my studio work yesterday, but I spent most of the day working on three paintings of my generic tomato pin cushion. I'm going to share the one that is supposed to be realistic, but I think needs a little more work, so this is in progress. I had thought I needed to finish it by tomorrow, but my instructor told me today when in the studio, that they aren't due until Thursday.
Of the three, which I will share this weekend in their usual post, I'm hoping to hang one in my new sewing room. Yes, that's right room. Until today, I just had a corner of the office, but since Chad is still on leave from the funeral last week, he has been rearranging the house. So now I have an entire room to myself to work in. He's going to build me shelves for my fabrics and other storage items and once those are done and I'm settled in, I will give a little tour of my space. I'm so excited for it!
Have you heard about the One Thing, One Week Challenge at Amy's Creative Side? I heard about it today on Lisa's blog and think it's a great addition to my weekly WIP posts. The challenge is about setting a goal for one thing. It can be big, it can be small. My goal for this week is to finish up my swap items for the For the Love of Solids swap. My mailing window starts this weekend, so it will be perfect timing and a goal I can meet.
I better get cracking on that and some assignments for school. My reward for finishing what I need to today is a long walk with my dogs in the beautiful weather we are having today. Hope your day is going well!
